Photo Creations from the Students of the Faculty of Architecture |
Great photo creations have been done by the students of the Course of Graphics of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence. Under the direction of Prof. Marcello Scalzo they showed their creativity and their mastery of Photoshop by inventing alternative views of Florence.
The photos, together with other works, will be showed within the initiative titled “Facoltà in piazza 2010” (Faculty on the square 2010), promoted by the Faculty of Architecture. The photographic creations are based on four different themes.
{igallery 21}
With the first theme, “Firenze immag/in/aria” (Imaginary Florence), the students created fantasy views of the city. The second theme “Firenze nel mondo” (Florence in the world) depicts some of the most famous Florentine landmarks transposed in different parts of the world. The third topic is “Tram-vai a Firenze” (Tramway in Florence) and tries to imagine creative paths for the recently built tramway, and the last section is “Una chiesa / una facciata: Santo Spirito” (A church / a façade: Santo Spirito) with interpretations of the beautiful church originally designed by Brunelleschi.
Our preferred one is the “Firenze immag/in/aria” section, with truly amazing photos, like a beach in front of Santa Croce, a winter marina at Ponte Vecchio or a swimming pool at the Uffizi Gallery. The tramway section is particularly fun for all citizens of Florence who witnessed during the last years endless discussions about the itinerary of the new transportation system.
A series of events will take place in various Florence locations from 24 June (holiday in Florence celebrating Saint John Baptist) to 4 July including: exhibitions, installations, projections, videos, happenings, concerts.
